Happy New Year and Late Christmas Wishes

Well - I started this December 14 and today is January 5 - where did the time go?

First off -

Our family is doing well. Emma is 8, Grace 6 and Jack 2 - all three a going concern.

Emma is in grade 3 in the French Immersion program at Dixon, Grace is in grade one - both love their school and have lots of fun - hopefully learning some French along the way. I have improved my french - from my grade 11 french to about a grade 1 level - I can read with kids in Grace's class. Thank goodness for online translation sites - tonight I found a site that pronounces the words as well. The girls are playing hockey - both on the same team this year - Richmond Girls Ice Hockey Rebels - both are amazing skaters - and have improved their game over the past year. Both are in various dance classes at Defy Gravity Dance studio. Grace is competing in tap this year and Emma in jazz. Needless to say we are very busy.

Jack spends his time going to the library and open gym at Steveston Community Center - he also enjoys Miss Norma's art projects at his Monday am toddler playgroup. He tried out creative dance but did not like but he did like music class.

I switched schools - I am now at Manoah Steves Elementary - in Richmond - just 5 minutes from our home and only 2 minutes from the girl's school. I am working 80% or 4 days a week - I have every Wednesday off - so I can spend time with Jack and take the girls to school.

Dan is busy working - he has his office at home and thus gets to spend lots of time with Jack and the girls. Jack has learned how to open the office door and usually drags in his hockey nets and two sticks so Dan can have a hockey break.

Our nanny, Cintia, is with us for a second year. THe kids love her - she great with the kids. We are lucky to have her.

Kuckie is turning 11 in a few days - Grandpa faithfully walks her everyday for about 2 hours - she moves slowly some days but recently jumped over our back fence - 6 feet tall - into the neighbor's yard.

We look forward to a wonderful 2010.

We are excited about the Olympics in Vancouver - just 37 days away.

I had better get this out or it will be February 2010.
